Young students at Omatta Junior School have been supported through a major building project.
Through discussions with the school principal, teachers and students, the need for a library was highlighted.
In February 2019, Daya and Sumi ceremonially laid a foundation stone to mark the start of construction of a two-storey building that now houses a lecture hall, home science accommodation and administration facilities, as well as the library.
In October, they returned for the official opening and to attend the school’s prize-giving ceremony.
